Mark graduated from Boyertown Area High School and attended West Chester University and Ursinus College where he majored in Business Administration and Computer Science.  He was a standout wrestler, qualifying for the PIAA State tournament in 1979, and was a three-year varsity letter winner at Ursinus College. 

Mark entered the insurance business in 1983 with The Metropolitan insurance company, joined Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner in 1984, and became a partner in 1989. Licensed in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states, Mark has in-depth knowledge and expertise in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance, Personal Property & Casualty Insurance, Group Employee Benefits and Individual Life and Health insurance products. He is extremely proud of the development of The Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner Insurance Agency through his leadership.  “We have created a team of professional independent insurance agents that specialize in their respective fields.  We know our business well and are committed protecting our client’s current assets and preserving their future goals and dreams.” 

Mark is married to Adriene Nyce Fluharty and has two daughters, Taylor and Rylee.  He still has a passion for wrestling and has helped guide the Boyertown wrestling program to be among one of the best programs in the state.  Mark is an Active Mason, Perkiomen Lodge #595, and has been a Board Member for several non-profit organizations including the United Way of Boyertown, BAWA, Optimist, and AMBUCS.

Besides work, Mark enjoys fishing, skiing, and socializing with friends and family with an icy mug of good beer.

Don is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management.

Following graduation from Temple in 1979, Don joined the Insurance Company of North America as a commercial lines underwriting trainee. From 1979-1989 he held a variety of underwriting and marketing positions with several other insurance companies.

Don joined Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner in 1989 and became a partner in 1994.  In 2002 he earned his Certified Insurance Counselor Designation from the National Alliance of Insurance Companies. His specialty is property/casualty insurance in both personal and commercial lines.

Outside of work, Don is a member of the Board of Directors of Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue and has served as Treasurer since its founding in 2013.  He is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys fishing in his spare time.

Don and his wife Wendy have two children, Matt & Danielle, and reside in Gilbertsville.

Diane has been employed with GHR since 2009.  She specializes in accounting, administrative duties and personnel matters.  She enjoys time with her family and friends the most but also likes to travel, read books and garden.  In 2008, Diane and her husband, Jim, formed a fundraising team know at the “J-Walkers.”  The team is now a designated non-profit organization with fundraising efforts to “help reduce the financial burden of individuals/families experiencing excessive costs as a result of medical hardships or other disasters.”   She also participates and fundraises for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (team “Never Forget”) and the Gift of Life Donor Program.

Donna has 33 years of experience in the insurance industry and specializing in commercial lines and also holds her CISR Designation. She enjoys working with her customers and helping them find the right insurance solution.

Lisa has been with our agency for 15 years and specializes in individua health, life, and travel insurance. She enjoys helping people find the right insurance solutions. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with family. 

Joan is a longstanding employee at Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner, 29 years of service.  She is an Administrative Assistant in the Group Benefits Department and is also a Licensed Life & Health Agent.  Her responsibilities include assisting with employee benefits and helping to train new staff members at GHR.  Joan attributes the success of her career to having an employer that ensured she could provide for herself and invested time in her development as an agent. 

As a semi-retired employee, Joan is enjoying the simple fact that she can complete the everyday, mundane chores without rushing to complete them as she had to do when working full time. 

Dena has been working with Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner for 3 years and assists the Life & Health Department.  Prior to joining the GHR family, she worked in the Healthcare industry for 30+ years.  Dena enjoys working in the insurance industry because every day is different and brings on new challenges. Dena appreciates how GHR puts their client's needs first and foremost. She also values the team-like atmosphere of the office; co-workers working together to provide exceptional service to clients.

When Dena is not working, you can find her gardening, enjoying the beach, or spending time with family and friends.

Haley has been with our agency for 22 years and specializes in auto and homeowners insurance and holds her CISR designation. Her goal is to build long lasting relationships with her customers. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and their children, Ashley and Alex.

Deb has been with our agency for nearly 15 years and specializes in personal lines of insurance. Her favorite part of our work is spending time with our clients, and outside of work she enjoys boating and kayaking with her family.

Courtney is a licensed property and casualty agent with her CISR designation. She has been with the agency 5 years and specializes in personal lines insurance. Her favorite part about her work is helping her customers find coverage solutions that fit their needs. Outside of the offices she enjoys coaching the Impact Twirlers. She spends her spare time hiking and camping with her husband and 3 dogs.
 

Kristie has been with our agency for 24 years and specializes in personal lines. She enjoys learning something new every day. Kristle is involved in the community with organizations like Brendan’s Band - a drug addiction awareness group.

Robert has 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and has skills in underwriting, office managing, and producing. He has been with our agency for 24 years and specializes in employer benefits and business insurance. He enjoys optimizing plan design and solving problems for his clients. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, bicycling, and spending time with his granddaughter.

Noah has been with GHR since April 2022.  He is a Licensed Life & Health Agent with a recent addition of Medicare Certification.  Noah’s passion is ensuring that our client’s futures are financially secure.  He specializes in life insurance, long-term care/final expense insurance, and annuities. 

When he is not working, Noah enjoys weightlifting, wrestling, football, volleyball, and spending time with family and friends.  He also supports the American Cancer Society and volunteers at Operation 143.

Rachael has been with GHR since February 2022 as the financial controller and marketing director.  Her background is in finance, marketing, and project management.  She has embraced the family-like work environment at Gerhart and appreciates how hard all of our staff members work to provide an exceptional experience to each of our clients.  Outside of work, Rachael enjoys volunteering for Operation 143 and the PTO at her son's school.  She also loves to be in the kitchen, cooking and baking for her family.

Nick joined Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner in March 2023.  He has several years experience as a Personal Line agent with Allstate.  Nick has brought his experience and personality to GHR as our Commercial Lines Producer.  He specializes in coverages for contractors and restaurants and is looking forward to serving businesses in our Boyertown community and surrounding areas.  One of the things that Nick appreciates about GHR is that we are an independent agency and we have the ability to deal with many insurance carriers to find the best coverage for our clients.  He really enjoys working with his clients to provide creative insurance solutions based on their needs and price points.  In addition to being a Philly sports enthusiast, Nick enjoys hiking with his wife and dog,Hazel, and playing volleyball and baseball.  

Beth has 37 years of insurance experience with a Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.  She has been a member of the GHR staff for over 13 years as a personal line agent, licensed in property and casualty insurance.  Working for Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner has allowed Beth to do what she loves, building valuable relationships with her clients and helping to provide them with the best coverage possible to ensure their family is protected. 

Outside of work, Beth enjoys bicycling, sewing, and hiking.  She also is a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and various Childhood Cancer organizations.

Alana has been with Gerhart, Hartman & Ritner since 2012.  She became a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent in 2015 and then obtained her CISR designation in 2017.  Alana enjoys helping clients understand what insurance means and the importance of insurance protection. 

Alana is also the manager for PA Title & Tag in Emmaus, Pennsburg Fast Tags in Red Hill, and Herb Auto Tags in Boyertown.
